The devil Didn't Make You Do It!

So, not satisfied with your life; don’t like the way it’s turned out? Can’t figure out why it’s happened the way that it has? There’s good news. The devil had nothing to do with it. Well, why is that good news, you ask? It’s good news because if the crappiness in your life isn’t caused by some external entity, onto which you can lay the blame, then it must be caused by an internal entity. That leaves only YOU! It’s’ really far better than good news because if you caused it (whatever it is), you can change it – if you want to, and you’re willing to do the work.

Whether it was a conscious decision that got you in a mess, a ridiculously foolish relationship, a dead-end job, debt up to your eyeballs, no friends, you name it. If you retrace your steps, you’ll see that it was you who got you to where you are now and it’s only you who can turn it around to a more satisfying life experience.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Sometimes our current circumstance is a result of childhood conditioning, or a part of common beliefs that have evolved over time. That’s a common reality, but again, you can change it. How? Change your beliefs and change your life. Whatever it is that you don’t like about your life, you can change it – and – you can start right now (OOPS!, as soon as you finish reading this blog).

Those words may sound cliché and idealistic, easier said than done. Perhaps, but that’s quite alright. The truth of this thought is wrapped tightly around possibility. What’s possible not what’s easy. It took time to create the life you don’t want, so take a deep breath, roll up your spiritual sleeves and begin to create the life you do want. It’s going to take work, but you’re worth it. YES!

Begin by just being still, taking time to be with yourself and imagine the life situation that you do want. That ideal relationship, career, home, more money to save, share, spend and invest; what’s standing in the way of you having it?

The most likely answer to that question is, you and the thoughts that are deep down in your belief system that say,

You don’t deserve it.
You’re not good enough.
You’re not smart enough.
You’ve made too many bad mistakes.
You didn’t go to college.
You’ve got a felony. So what! Thousands do.
on and on

We can judge ourselves more harshly than anyone else ever could. So just Stop it! And don’t try to lay it on God either. Long story short, you (we) are made in the image of God, having had the Divine Breath of God breathed directly into us from our beginning, given free will to create the life we want, the very Spirit, Itself, on the inside, the power of the tongue that causes everything to line up in our favor.

Begin by making a commitment to yourself that from this moment going forward, you are going to be good to yourself and that good will bring good to everyone around you. Once you make that decision, God will line things up for you and direct you on the pathway of your desire.

Here’s how it works. Your thinking follows your desires, and where your thinking goes, you go. Power flows where your attention (thoughts and intentions) go. So get a grip on yourself, collect your thoughts and focus in the direction of your heart’s desire.

It will take conscious effort, faith, commitment, consistency, and work but Spirit will go ahead of you and make your way perfect, smooth and straight. Now, get started.
