Rushing is just a way of life. No matter what time it is, it’s rush hour. That’s what we do. We rush. Everything is urgent. Make the decision now and think about it later – if we have time. We rush when we don’t need to rush; procrastinate until we must rush. Rush so we won’t be late and rush because we are late. Feel guilty when not rushing as though neglecting some task awaiting our unique attention.
Rushing is like a badge of importance because, after all, important people are busy so they must rush.
Crunch time. Rush. Rush. Rush to get it all done, but we never get it all done. When we finish the rush of the day, we’re physically and/or mentally exhausted from living in rush mode.
Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up and wait. We live in rush mode and the next thing we know, life is almost over.
With the rush hour mindset, it’s easy to think the spirit world moves in sync with the natural world. The spirit world, of which we are a part, doesn’t flow with our sense of urgency, our right now agendas. “But, surely, (you say) breakthroughs and worthy desires have every reason to manifest quickly. Right?
Ok, this is a Rest Stop. Put your foot gently on the break and slip your mental gear into Park. Despite the implication or suggestion of suddenness in the term, “breakthrough,” it is sudden but not necessarily immediate. It isn’t immediate in that it takes time to get there. Manifestation happens but there is a journey. Just as there is seedtime and harvest, where germination takes place invisibly in the earth, so it is with the germination of your breakthrough. There’s a spiritual process of growth, awareness, development, maturity, clarity, fertilization, alignment, … going on within. There’s a lot going on. You can help the process or hinder it.
The very first thing you must know is that God is on your side and will not withhold any good thing from you. It isn’t about you being worthy or good enough. You’re made in the image of God, so you’re quite good enough. You have the mind of Christ, the exceptional teacher. You have access to all knowledge, all power, so you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. So, relax your resistance (fear, struggle, doubt, etc.) and allow what you need to flow to you.
The second thing you must know is that in this life you’re in partnership with God, a co-creator. That means you don’t just send up a prayer and wait for God to do the work. This is your life. If you have a dream, it’s your dream. If you have a vision, it’s your vision. If you have a desire, a hunger or thirst; it’s yours.
Get out of the rush hour traffic, the rote of the daily grind. Seek the silence wherein you can think and receive from Spirit to know what is your part in the manifestation of your desire. You’ve gotta get in it and do your part.
God has given you the great gift of free will and the indwelling of God’s self. That means you must do the work of your own breakthrough, your own healing, your own transformation.
I’ve given you a lot to think about. Is is easy? Not at first; but only because it’s a new way of thinking. You want an amazing life, you must think in new and amazing ways.
