It’s a gross understatement to say the events of January 6, 2021, the day supporters of Donald J. Trump laid siege on the Capital building in Washington, DC were extremely disconcerting. It stirred up memories, emotions, and concern for our national and personal safety. During the four years he held the seat in the Oval Office, there have been endless prayers for a better, more concerned and compassionate leadership.
Call it prayer, Affirmative Prayer, Spiritual Mind Treatment, Intention, Definite Purpose, .... it has been about only one thing, the realization of our good, right purposes and desires for the highest ideals for ourselves, our families, and our nation.
The startling event of January 6, 2021 happened because it had to happen, when it happened and how it happened. Though today we see through a glass darkly, the countless, yet imperceptible reasons will unfold. We know that. Broadly, however, it was either the light of revealing or the darkness of because, or both.
It is as it must be, that as individuals and a nation, we find our center and resolve the truth of who we are and know the integrity of our faith in God by whatever name you choose to call It. Moving forward in such a world as this, we must know, so that the social and political tsunamis don’t move us off our center and upset our balance.
I urge you not to be discouraged. On the pathway to any destination are jagged rocks, obstacles, pitfalls, but the destination is still good, still right.
Go into the silence. Be still and know that I am God (Ps. 46:10), and in the calm presence of the poised and elegant Spirit, be grateful just for the moment. Grateful that Infinite Intelligence will "show and tell" you things about that day you may have missed and need to know. Be grateful to know that ALL things work together for our good. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
